When I was in Botswana there were donkey pulled carts for hire AND almost everyone in Botswana and Zambia had cell phones, though they did not chain themselves to their phones.
ReplyDeleteThat cell phone photo is FANTASTIC! I lived in Honduras for a year, and I remember a lot of funky things about life there but I never saw anyone doing the "chained-to-a-cell-phone" thing. It's got a certain Secret Agent vibe to it...
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at how resourceful people are at making a living. I'd love to do a whole book of photos of "odd jobs." People FIND work and create possibilities where I never would've seen anything!!
